Terms of Use
These terms explain the distinction between public-domain materials, third-party datasets, Maqor's proprietary work, and future user or institutional content.
Public-domain and third-party content
Public-domain biblical texts remain public domain. Third-party datasets remain governed by their own licenses. Users should verify source-specific licenses before redistributing any dataset outside Maqor.
Maqor proprietary work
The Maqor application code, interface design, normalized presentation, generated alignments, generated pronunciation data, future community features, and compilation decisions are owned by Maqor/Helko unless a separate written license says otherwise.
Acceptable use
Users must not scrape, overload, attack, bypass security controls, or republish the service in a way that violates source licenses, user rights, or Maqor's terms. Public source material may be reused only according to its own status or license.
Future comments and profiles
The intended future forum-style interpretation layer may include academic, interdenominational, institutional, and informed lay-reader contributions. These features will require their own submission, moderation, permission, and attribution rules before they are public.
